We are excited to be Philadelphia’s first authentic Venetian eatery and osteria (pub), serving friends and neighbors the very best of homemade Italian cuisine.
Cichetteria defined: In Venice, neighborhood cichetterias (pronounced CHIK-EH-TERRIAS) are open from early morning to late at night. Friends linger at these warm and welcoming taverns while they enjoy delicious small dishes (cichetti) and glasses of wine (ombra de vin) from local winemakers.
You will find among owners of cichetterias a strong tradition of respecting the earth and the environment, and having in-depth knowledge of local food and wine. Owners can be found behind the bar, in the kitchen, and at tables sharing their wisdom and a chat with guests.
Just as it is in Venice, Cichetteria 19 is a neighborhood place where we serve authentic Venetian cuisine using the freshest of local ingredients, a large selection of wines from the best vineyards in our region and around the world, and a full bar. We offer a weekly market menu, so our guests can enjoy whatever is at its freshest for the week. Our menu is “priced friendly” because we are cooking for our friends.
